Job description

Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the Director, you will drive People transformation initiatives. This role involves reviewing HR processes, policies, and systems to ensure they align with best practices. You will support strategic business partnering, develop training and communication materials, and ensure the employee handbook is up-to-date to support People transformation. You are expected to propose strategies and initiatives to improve overall employee experience across the ambit of the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding and improve staff retention.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Transformation & Process Improvement

  1. With the aim to attain a progressive and agile HR function, review and enhance current HR processes, policies, and systems.
  2. Evaluate and improve current HR processes and system (SuccessFactors) to streamline, minimize, and digitalize HR operations.
  3. Conduct research on industry best practices and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Training & Communication

  1. Develop training materials and communication resources to educate Heads of Departments (HODs) and employees on HR policies, processes, and best practices.
  2. Develop a coaching culture to instill continuous learning in SCS.
  3. Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and HR knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  4. Ensure clear and effective communication of HR transformation efforts to stakeholders.

Strategic HR & Business Partnering

  1. Provide support in developing and implementing strategic business partnering frameworks that drive the delivery of SCS’ HR plans.
  2. Assist in HR Center of Excellence (COE) initiatives, such as talent management, employee engagement, and leadership development programs.
  3. Collaborate with HR and unit leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals.

General HR Support

  1. Provide support in HR analytics and reporting to aid decision-making.
  2. Participate in HR projects and initiatives as required.
  3. Review, recommend, and update HR policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and to encourage an engaged workforce.

Criteria:

  1. Related education in Human Resources.
  2. At least 3-5 years’ experience in an HR strategic or transformative role, with exposure to policy review and training.
  3. IHRP certified preferred at Senior Professional level.
  4. Strong understanding of HR processes, systems, and best practices.
  5. Experience in the social service sector is an advantage.
