Assistant Warehouse Manager (Japanese Food Operations)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Warehouse Manager to oversee and manage warehouse operations effectively. This role involves ensuring smooth receiving, storage, and distribution processes while upholding safety and operational standards. You will play a key role in optimizing processes, leading teams, and contributing to the efficiency of the company's supply chain.

Job Responsibilities

1. Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to standards.
2. Implement operational and safety policies, procedures, and security measures to protect staff, inventory, and facilities.
3. Ensure the effective and safe use of warehouse equipment while managing equipment maintenance schedules.
4. Act as the Company's Safety Officer, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
5. Monitor and maintain accurate documentation of all warehouse activities, including inventory records.
6. Motivate, mentor, and discipline staff to foster a productive and engaged workforce.
7. Assist with deliveries when necessary and handle ad-hoc duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

1. Experience: 3–5 years in warehouse management or a similar role.
2. Education: Degree or higher.
3. Language: Proficiency in simple Japanese is preferred due to the nature of the company's operations.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Solid knowledge of warehouse management procedures, inventory controls, and IT systems.
6. Excellent organizational, leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
7. Flexibility to work extended hours when needed.
8. Valid driving license and forklift operation skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
