About the Role

Maintain a functional building and provide a safe and pleasant environment for staff, workers, visitors, and other individuals. The role requires working closely with the building maintenance team and stakeholders to respond to and resolve maintenance requests in a timely manner.

• Inspect the building, grounds, and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
• Handle and carry out necessary maintenance repairs to building fabrics and services.
• Install equipment and appliances.
• Execute quality preventative and predictive maintenance practices effectively.
• Comply with all company safety regulations and promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Execute all work assigned and deliver in a timely manner.
• Document facilities maintenance requirements: maintain appropriate records of work performed, keep a maintenance log, and write shift reports.
• Report work-related issues to the facility manager.
• Respond to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate and monitor to ensure the proper, complete, and safe execution of contractors' work as needed.
• Read and follow manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions from facility engineers and managers.
• Use equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.
• Perform shift work to provide continuous service support and attend to miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Who We Are Looking For

• At least 2 years of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
• NITEC certification in a technical discipline or minimum 2 years of technical working experience.
• Certification in building maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, or Facility Technology (Plumbing, Airconditioning, and Refrigeration).
• Other certifications - Work at Height, Occupational First Aid, and Category 3A lifting platform equipment operation.
• Those with higher qualifications and relevant experience may be considered for senior positions.
