You are responsible for overseeing the efficient and smooth operations of our warehouse. You play a crucial role in managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and ensuring a safe and organized workspace for warehouse employees.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Monitor and control inventory levels.
Conduct periodic stock audits to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Ensure all goods are in proper storage and handling.
Order Fulfilment
Coordinate the fulfilment of customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure on-time shipments and minimize backorders.
Shipping and Receiving
Oversee the shipping and receiving processes, verify incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensure proper handling and storage of goods.
Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and condition of products before shipment.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement efficient procedures to enhance warehouse productivity.
Optimize warehouse layout to maximize space and improve workflow efficiency.
Equipment Maintenance
Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and vehicles, such as delivery vans and pallet jacks, to ensure their proper functioning.
Provide advice to users on proper usage.
Safety and Compliance
Maintain cleanliness and organization to facilitate easy access to goods without safety hazards.
Enforce safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
Report all incidents and emergencies to management in a timely manner.
Perform risk assessments of work activities, taking corrective and preventive actions accordingly.
Attend health and safety training programs.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities.
Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), and share insights with management.
Ensure all documents are kept confidentially and properly.
Communication
Facilitate effective communication between warehouse staff, management, and other departments to ensure a seamless flow of information.
Team Leadership
Manage and direct warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations.
Budget Management
Assist in budget planning and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective warehouse operations.
Other duties as assigned by head of department.
Requirements:
Minimum diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a warehouse.
Prior experience in the FMCG industry is advantageous.
