General Ledger Accountant (ACCA) Education Industry

Our client a private tertiary institution. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a General Ledger Accountant to be part of their Finance Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the Central - easily accessible.

Duties of General Ledger Accountant:

1. Financial Closing – Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
2. General Ledger Management – Maintain and review GL schedules, AR/AP reports, and update currency exchange rates.
3. Bank Reconciliation – Conduct bi-monthly bank reconciliations and ensure follow-up on outstanding items.
4. Management Reporting – Prepare financial reports, cash flow statements, and business performance analysis.
5. Budgeting & Forecasting – Assist in quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and financial model maintenance.
6. Audit & Compliance – Support external audits, tax filings, GST returns, and corporate secretarial matters.
7. Variance Analysis – Track and analyze deviations between actual and planned revenue/expenses.
8. Financial Systems Support – Troubleshoot and enhance financial systems and processes.
9. Regulatory Reporting – Prepare statutory reports and submit financial data to relevant authorities.
10. Ad-Hoc Projects – Handle additional tasks as required by the company.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Accounting / Finance with ACCA Certification
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience
