We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Strategy & Sustainability to drive strategic growth, government relations, business development, and sustainability initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping the company’s long-term vision, fostering key partnerships, and leading ESG efforts to ensure compliance and innovation.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Business Growth
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, market gaps, and business opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive business strategies and phased roadmaps for short- and long-term growth.
- Facilitate strategic workshops to define objectives, priorities, and key initiatives.
- Drive digital transformation efforts, integrating technology and data analytics to optimize operations.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Oversee corporate materials, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Organize corporate events to enhance employee engagement and brand presence.
Government Relations & Stakeholder Engagement
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements across operating markets, ensuring compliance.
- Develop and execute strategies to strengthen government partnerships and industry ties.
- Represent the company in engagements with government entities, business chambers, and embassies.
- Create opportunities for executive-level interactions with key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic counsel to internal teams on government relations.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities to expand the company’s footprint.
- Strengthen relationships with strategic partners to enhance industry engagement.
- Lead business diversification efforts in areas such as minerals, resources, and decarbonization initiatives.
Sustainability & ESG Leadership
- Monitor global sustainability trends and regulations, ensuring corporate alignment.
- Define and implement ESG goals, establishing performance metrics and targets.
- Oversee sustainability reporting, including data collection, analysis, and stakeholder communication.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations.
- Engage with industry experts, government agencies, and partners to drive sustainability innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business and/or technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in strategy, government relations, business development, and sustainability.
- At least 5 years in a leadership and management role.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project).
- Resourceful, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as required.
