Radio Surveyor (General Operators Certificate/Exp as Radio Surveyor)

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct annual performance tests for VDR/SVDR and statutory safety radio surveys on board ships.
2. Address customer inquiries and communicate regarding statutory survey matters.
3. Stay updated on international convention regulations and International Maritime Organization (IMO) requirements.
4. Maintain and update survey checklists provided by classification bodies.
5. Ensure the validity of approval certificates issued by classification bodies.
6. Identify the type of survey required and oversee daily statutory survey activities.
7. Prepare and submit survey reports to the relevant classification authority.
8. Document any non-conformities related to equipment in the survey report.
9. Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Authority:
Conduct statutory surveys in compliance with the International Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) convention, Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODU) code, High-Speed Craft (HSC) code, and the Merchant Shipping Acts.

Requirements:

1. Technical knowledge in GMDSS and VDR/SVDR systems is preferred.
2. At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
3. Minimum diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, or Computer Engineering.
