We are on the lookout for a passionate and creative Dietitian to help us develop new products by combining great taste with nutritional goodness. In this role, you will bring together the worlds of nutrition and culinary creativity, focusing on developing foods that will benefit customers in meaningful ways. Specifically, we want to develop foods that cater to our aging community with health conditions.
Responsibilities:
1. Nutritional Analysis and Product Development:
- Conduct nutritional analysis of food products, evaluating ingredients and identifying areas for improvement while maintaining taste and quality
- To develop new products that meet requirements for elderly people with a range of health conditions, working internally and with external partners/suppliers
- To setup and oversee the production process with hands-on involvement with team members
- Ensure all products meet dietary guidelines and adhere to health regulations
2. Nutritional Labelling and Compliance:
- Oversee the accuracy of nutritional labelling for all products, ensuring compliance with local regulatory standards
- Stay updated on regulatory changes to maintain product compliance
3. Consumer Education and Marketing:
- Partner with the marketing team to create materials highlighting the nutritional benefits of our products
- Contribute to health-focused campaigns and promotions in collaboration with the Health Promotion Board (HPB)
- Educate consumers on developed products via our marketing and outreach channels
4. Dietary Consulting and Customer Interaction:
- Address customer inquiries regarding nutrition, allergens, and dietary needs
- Provide insights on offering balanced meal options to customers and stakeholders
5. Food Safety and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all products meet nutritional integrity and safety standards
- Conduct regular audits of production processes to maintain high-quality standards
6. Trend Monitoring and Market Research:
- Stay informed on dietary trends and consumer preferences, leveraging this knowledge to guide product innovation
- Research market data to identify opportunities for health-oriented products
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Science, or a related field
- Accreditation as a Dietitian in Singapore (e.g., Singapore Nutrition & Dietetics Association)
- Experience and proficiency in dietary meal and recipe planning for elderly people with health conditions e.g. soft diets, diabetic friendly diets
- Experience and proficiency in applying the IDDSI framework to recipe planning and production, and working with Low Glycemic Index (GI) foods.
- Attention to detail to ensure compliance with nutritional and regulatory standards
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and engage with customers
