Director/Senior Director, Insurance Broker, Japan Market

OVERVIEW
Our client, an insurance broker company, is looking for a Director for the Japan market in Singapore.

Responsibilities

1. The incumbent will contribute to the delivery of quality service to our clients and business partners by providing professional advisory service in the areas of insurance and liquidity planning.
2. The incumbent needs to generate profitable client referrals by engaging and servicing our partners and clients.
3. Maintain consistent engagement with clients and partners in developing robust and sustainable referral relationships.
4. Build up ongoing development of new client relationships to ensure a balanced referral source portfolio.
5. Provide professional and quality advice to clients on their liquidity planning and insurance needs.
6. Achieve annual target of net revenue or an amount agreed upon during the annual review.
7. Fulfill full compliance to our internal compliance policies as well as applicable regulatory requirements.
8. Submit new business documents timely and accurately.
9. Provide quality ongoing service to existing policyholders by conducting annual policy reviews in a timely manner.
10. Support other team members in client meetings, medicals, and presentations.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above from Finance or related discipline.
2. Valid MAS licence required. Candidates who are not currently licensed will need to obtain a MAS licence upon commencement of employment.
3. Preference for candidates with experience in the Japanese market.
4. Minimum 10-15 years’ working experience in sales and/or relationship management experience preferably in the insurance or banking industry.
5. Proactive, self-motivated, self-disciplined with integrity and commitment to serving the clients’ needs.
6. Strong relationship development/management, communication, and presentation skills.
7. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under extreme deadlines.
8. Professional working proficiency in Japanese in order to liaise with Japanese speaking stakeholders.
