Our client, an eCommerce giant dealing with online retail, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Social Media Manager to lead their social media presence and initiatives across platforms such as Instagram.
This role combines the responsibilities of end-to-end social media management from strategy, ideation, asset creation, development, execution, and day-to-day operations to drive the company's product and event-driven campaigns while connecting with Singaporean customers, aligned with the company's brand values and business objectives.
This leader will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Category, Public Relations, Legal, and Marketing teams, as well as partner with external agencies, to create compelling, culturally relevant content that resonates with Singaporean audiences and drives engagement across all social channels.
This role requires someone who lives and breathes with their finger on the pulse of what’s trending online. Success in this role requires excellent customer instincts, understanding how to streamline and work within the brand’s editorial voice, the ability to set customer-centric campaign goals, an aptitude for developing insights-driven approaches, a deep and current knowledge of each platform’s unique offerings, and a passion for compelling and innovative content.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy for Singapore across social platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging and voice.
- Build and manage the content strategy roadmap, operations, and optimization to grow the company’s social campaigns and customer engagement.
- Lead end-to-end campaign development for social media initiatives, from brief development to execution.
- Create and manage content calendars, ensuring timely and relevant posts that align with Singaporean cultural moments and the company's business priorities.
- Ideate and create high-quality and engaging content that raises the bar for the company’s social media presence in Singapore while collaborating with internal teams.
- Develop and execute campaign strategies that drive proximity between the company and Singapore customers through their products, events, and brand partners.
- Analyze social media metrics and consumer insights to inform strategy, optimize performance, and report to leadership.
- Highly adaptable to social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to ensure the company remains at the forefront of social media innovation.
- Coordinate with global teams to ensure local adaptation of centralized campaign strategies while maintaining brand consistency.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing and social media experience.
- Proficiency in video editing software and social media content creation tools.
- Proactive in finding creative ways to create content with a frugal approach.
- Works well in an ambiguous environment where you can innovate.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
- Experience with Excel (data manipulation, charts, and pivot tables).
- Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders at various levels and in different locales to drive alignment.
- Strong written and verbal language skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building, executing, and scaling digital programmatic campaigns from concept to completion.
