Vessel Operator - Dry Bulk, Singapore

Are you an experienced dry bulk vessel operator looking to work for a market leading Chartering/Trading firm in their headquarters in Singapore?

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with relevant commercial vessel operations background with a ship owner/operator looking to work for a fortune 100 organisation.

Requirements

1. Interpret charter party contracts across different trade routes.
2. Develop and issue voyage instructions and manage voyage formalities.
3. Work with the fuel procurement team to develop, manage, and execute bunkering plans and strategies.
4. Promptly and efficiently manage and track all day-to-day 'on-water' activities.
5. Follow up and close out on the Safety survey outcomes with Vessel/Owners.
6. Monitor vessel and fleet trends concerning bunker consumption.
7. Directly engage with ship's masters to manage all voyage risk exposures.
8. Engage directly with ship owners regarding vessel performance and safety.
9. Working with port operations advising and assisting in port safety management.
10. Directly engage port and agency nominees to manage all port interactions.
11. Effectively manage communications with internal and external stakeholders.
12. Manage and/or negotiate operational disputes with ship owners and receivers.
13. Maximizing the profitability of every voyage in close cooperation with the commercial team accountability for P&L on voyages and ability to manage/explain variances.
14. Using relevant performance tools to monitor, manage, and report fleet performance & efficiency.
15. Managing transparent and professional supplier relationships.
16. Active engagement in building customer knowledge and relationships.
17. Post-voyage analysis and review.

About you

1. Degree/Diploma in Marine or related.
2. 3-5 years of experience in bulk ship operator role.
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Strong numeric and analytical skills.
5. Sound negotiation skills.
6. IMOS experience.
7. Good team player.
