SUMMARY

Linfox Asia Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia / Tuas, West Region, Singapore (onsite)

Linfox is Asia Pacific’s largest privately-owned logistics company. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced National IT Manager to join our team and lead IT operations in Malaysia and Singapore. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT management, with a particular focus on logistics technology systems, to support the efficient and secure operation of our organization. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for leading an outsourced Helpdesk team , ensuring system stability, and driving the implementation of innovative technology solutions to streamline logistics processes and improve overall performance. This role reports to the Country Manager, Singapore & Malaysia

KEYS ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To understand the organization's business objectives and work with other departments to align IT strategy with those goals. Gather new business and operational requirements and timely respond to business and Linfox customers with accurate solutions (IT) that are relevant to the Singapore and Malaysia market.
  • To oversee the planning of IT projects (SAP Financials, WMS, Interface systems, Fox Trax TMS etc) ensuring that they are completed on time, with budget, and meet the needs of the business, liaise on project plan, commercials, and customer contact to support project success.
  • Responsible for effective IT service management of infrastructure, applications and network while delivering and supporting IT services that is appropriate to the business and operational requirements, ensuring the service level and operational level meet corporate standards.
  • Reviews and evaluates continuously the existing business applications and processes, to increase improvement in aspect of best practices and industries standards and maximize performance of business objective and initiatives.
  • Liaise with local vendors to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure that solutions and services are delivered as expected. Further in terms of IT procurement, maintenance, and support are delivered with approvals from Country Manager or Regional IT Manager, Asia.
  • Responsible for creating and managing the IT budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
  • Responsible for coordinating with LIG Regional and AU IT teams for reporting and resolving issues pertaining to SAP Warehouse, Transport management systems (as and when these systems are implemented)
  • Supporting Linfox Singapore and Malaysia business with expertise in the following areas:
  • IT Infrastructure
  • IT Solutions (Application, SAP Financials, WMS, Interface systems, Fox Trax TMS etc)
  • Financial insight on IT costs
  • To manage and lead local IT team that will sustain the Singapore and Malaysia business.
  • Responsible for guiding and use his subject matter expertise to support local IT team for day-to-day IT operations and support issues, including “rolling up his sleeves” and getting involved in resolving the issues.
  • Enforce & deploy IT policies/procedures with respect to corporate IT standards, policies, and direction.
  • Manage workload and develop skills such that use of external resources is minimized.
  • To recruit (in line with business plans and revenue/ profitability growth) the relevant support team with authorization from Country Manager and Regional Manager Asia IT.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • Commercial/Analytical Degree e.g., engineering/IT/business
  • Demonstrated 7+ years, professional services/consulting experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in infrastructure knowledge and management (Server management, Network management as well as end user hardware, software, and solutions).
  • Working knowledge on cloud solutions (IAAP, SAAS), like Office365, AWS, Azure.
  • Good knowledge of Service Desk management in relation to networking, servers, and vendor management in addition to experience in basic network security
  • Project management skills are a key requirement and a “no compromise” culture to delivery
  • Excellent English communication skills (interpersonal and written) and an open demeanour.
  • The person must be willing to operate at all levels, including “rolling up their sleeves” and getting involved in initiative delivery.
  • Financial understanding of budgeting, planning, and reporting
  • Advanced relationship management skills to effectively deal with conflict and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, plan & execute viable, commercial, and technical projects / solutions.
  • Strong customer presentation and communication skills
  • Pro-active, dedicated, committed and responsible with strong customer (internal & external) orientation with systematic approach to work, and high attention to detail
  • The person must be able to multi-task and needs to be able to resist local pressures to “bend the rules” and follow processes.
