Structural Design Engineer - Pioneer / Woodlands - $7,000

Job Description:

1. Perform detailed analysis and design calculations for foundations, geotechnical, steel, and structures.
2. Produce design reports for schematic, design development, and construction phases of projects.
3. Utilize advanced design software (ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, TEDDS) to develop structural designs.
4. Work with clients, authority departments, consultants, and contractors to complete projects.
5. Maintain thorough project documentation and make submissions to various authority departments.
6. Attend project and technical meetings, and carry out site inspections.
7. Check engineering plans for discrepancies and resolve technical issues.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
2. More than 10 years of experience in Singapore as a Civil Design Engineer.
3. Familiar with Singapore design standards such as LTA, PUB, and BCA.
4. Familiar with Eurocode standards.
5. Experience in Reinforced Concrete design, Steel design, Geotechnical design (Slope stability, Settlement calculation), Gravity wall design, Pile deck structure design, FEM Analysis, Drainage design, Temporary retaining wall design (ERSS), ECM design.
6. Software Skills:
   • STAAD Pro
   • Plaxis 2D (or 3D)
   • Geo studio (Slope/W) if possible, Seep and Sigma
   • AutoCAD
