Deputy Finance Manager/ Deputy Financial Controller

Our client, a leading financial services firm, is looking to hire a Finance Manager with excellent communication skills and team management experience. The incumbent needs to be technically strong in Financial Accounting, Financial Controls, and Financial Standards and should come from an Audit background.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage month-end close process including taxation to achieve accuracy of financial accounts and meet deadlines.
2. Finance controls - ensure control points are reviewed and signed off on time, covering bank reconciliation, revenue and Accounts Receivable reconciliation, Balance Sheet reconciliation, etc. Review COA and General Ledger. Act as gatekeeper to postings of journals in GL system.
3. Ensure reporting of accurate and timely financial reporting including taxation to Regional and Group Finance, and to IRAS.
4. Lead team to prepare statutory accounts on time and liaise with auditors to ensure accuracy and timeliness, including ACRA filing.
5. Act as checkers for payments.
6. Key participant in Finance systems projects, covering new system implementation, user specifications, system enhancement, user acceptance testing, and parallel run.

Requirements:

1. Must be a degree holder.
2. Certified CA or CPA.
3. Must have more than ten years of experience.
4. Team management experience is a must.
