Network & Server Engineer (Retail Sector, East, Mon to Fri, Office hours)

• Perm role comes with comprehensive benefits (Annual leave, VB -up to 2-3 months, medical benefits, etc.)

• Working days & hours: Monday to Friday 830am-530pm

• Reporting to IT Manager / Director

• In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining our server infrastructure to ensure high performance, security, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business operations and drive infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage both physical and virtual server infrastructure.

• Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, applications, and related software.

• Monitor server health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources.

• Enforce robust security measures to safeguard server environments and data.

• Work collaboratively with other departments to support business initiatives and technical projects.

• Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, licenses, procedures, and troubleshooting processes.

• Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in server administration or engineering.

• Strong proficiency in Linux and/or Windows server environments.

• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

• Solid understanding of networking protocols and concepts.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
