Job Requirements:
As part of the Group Reporting team, the candidate will be responsible for group accounting, consolidation, and audit by Big 4. The candidate should be result-oriented and have sound knowledge of IFRS and experience in the financial sector. They should enjoy working on multiple tasks and can proactively manage multiple stakeholders in various countries.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the month-end ledger closing process, including the review of one-off journal entries and adjustments.
- Review of HO reporting schedules, ensuring proper reporting in accordance with GSG Group’s policies and procedures, accounting and regulatory frameworks, for timely submission of schedules, financial statements, and consolidation.
- Ensure compliance with the minimum standards for financial and regulatory reporting.
- Provide advice on accounting treatment to various stakeholders.
- Preparation of audited standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with financial reporting standards.
- Evaluate existing processes and develop or recommend modifications or new processes as necessary.
- Lead automation of financial reporting, support data quality improvement initiatives and investigations.
- Service management of outsourced service providers.
- Participate in ad-hoc assignments as required.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience working in accounting, preferably with an audit background in Big 4.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent professional qualification in accounting and Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant/Certified Management Accountant.
- Excellent knowledge of local and international financial reporting standards and understanding of the latest technical issues and their implications.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders.
- Positive “can-do” attitude and attention to detail.
- Able to independently resolve issues.
