Safety Officer (A1 Construction)

Job location : Buangkok Area

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce workplace safety and health (WSH) standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes in Singapore.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments at construction sites.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs, including toolbox talks, training sessions, and emergency drills.
• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
• Liaise with government agencies and ensure timely submission of WSH-related documentation.
• Provide guidance to on-site teams on hazard identification, risk control measures, and safe work practices.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and encourage compliance among workers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or equivalent qualification.
• MOM-registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in safety supervision within the construction industry, preferably with A1 contractors.
• Good knowledge of local WSH regulations and guidelines (e.g., Workplace Safety and Health Act, SS 567, and CP79).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage site personnel and management.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach to ensuring safety standards.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
