General Practitioner

Our client is a leading healthcare institution renowned for its commitment to patient-centered care and medical excellence. It is looking to recruit for the role of general practitioner (GP).

Job Description

1. Responsible for Patients Diagnosis and Treatment Plans
2. Providing routine health screening and check-ups
3. Educating patients about their health conditions
4. Explain medical procedures and test results
5. Handle minor emergencies, injuries, and urgent medical issues
6. Maintain accurate medical records, including medical history, diagnoses, treatments, and prescriptions
7. Offer emotional support and compassionate care
8. Listen to patients' concerns, address questions, and establish trustful relationships
9. Refer patients to specialists when needed
10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for coordinated care

Requirements

1. A degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), or a medical degree from a recognized institution.
2. Successful completion of minimally one-year housemanship program followed by a residency program, gaining practical experience in various medical specialties, including general medicine, surgery, obstetrics, and paediatrics.
3. Obtaining full registration with the Singapore Medical Council.
4. Clear the licensing examinations conducted by the Singapore Medical Council, which assess the candidates' medical knowledge and competence.
5. Good professional standing, adhering to ethical standards and guidelines set by the medical regulatory authorities.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, understand their concerns, and provide appropriate medical advice and care.
7. Familiarity with the legal obligations and regulations governing medical practice in Singapore, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
