[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, Human Capital Management in the School of Business & Accountancy.
[What you will be working on]
Curriculum Development: Prepare and update learning materials, incorporating the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
Teaching: Deliver learning for both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses.
Assessment: Set and mark assignments, quizzes, common tests, group projects, and examinations related to the module(s).
Student Support: Provide student consultations and mentoring to support their learning and development.
Committee Involvement: Participate in committee portfolios and ad-hoc projects that support the school’s mission and strategic goals.
Industry Engagement: Foster relationships with industry partners to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and aligned with current industry needs.
[What are we looking for]
Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in human capital management. Teaching experience is an advantage.
Mindset: A nurturing mindset with a passion for working with young adults and mature learners.
Innovation: Ability to use innovative teaching strategies to motivate and engage learners.
Competence: Proficient in planning, developing, and teaching human capital management modules.
Technical Skills: Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with HR technologies and people analytics. Experience in data-driven decision making and use of AI tools in the HR space, is a bonus.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the industry and integrate new technologies and methodologies into the teaching process.
