Casual Junior Research Assistant

Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of Junior Research Assistant in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics, School of Computing (SoC). SoC is strongly committed to research excellence in all its dimensions. The Health Informatics Research Lab is looking for a Research Assistant with ample experience in mobile app design and video production to assist in developing and maintaining UI/UX and promotional materials.

The Job Responsibilities Are As Follow

1. Assist in developing the visual layout of mobile apps – color, overall look and feel.
2. Create wireframes and prototypes using design software or tools like Figma and Adobe XD.
3. Ensure that the design is professional and visually appealing.
4. Draft an immersive experience for users when navigating through mobile apps.
5. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure compliance with specifications.
6. Work with developers to derive programming specifications for mobile app design layout.
7. Attend stakeholder meetings to work on system requirements.
8. Create original promotional materials (videos, flyers).

Qualifications

1. 3+ years of experience as a UX/UI engineer.
2. Experience with making promotional materials is a must.
3. Prior experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
4. Strong knowledge and experience in wireframe and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
5. Visual Design skills with proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography, and aesthetics.
6. Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
7. Have a portfolio to showcase prior design projects.
