About the job

As WPS gears up for its next phase of growth, we are looking for a Strategy & M&A Director to join our global team. This is a high-impact role where you will shape our future strategy while identifying and executing on non-organic growth opportunities in and around ports. You will work closely with the Central Management Team and help drive strategic initiatives.

This role reports to the Vice President Strategy, M&A, and Business Development.

What will you do?

• Support in our annual strategy review process.
• Take a leading role in the development of our next 5-year strategy plan.
• Oversee and drive strategy execution across the business.
• Provide critical market intelligence for informed decision-making.
• Contribute towards selected strategic projects on an ad-hoc basis.

Portfolio & investments

• Help continuously feed and manage our global WPS investment funnel.
• Engage in both internal and external deal sourcing, identifying the right opportunities for growth.
• Drive and support investment thesis origination and business case computation.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and deal execution with support from our central M&A team.
• Oversee post-acquisition integration process and actively help drive value creation.

Who are we looking for?

• You have excellent academic credentials with a consistent track record.
• You possess 5-8 years of relevant work experience in top-tier management consulting.
• Previous maritime and/or B2B service industry exposure would be a plus (but not mandatory).
• You are a real team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural and multi-layered global environment.
• You are an initiative taker & self-starter with strong work ethic and a desire to learn and constantly challenge the status quo.
• You are equipped with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You are able to meet deadlines and go the extra mile when required.
• You possess strong modelling and presentation skills.
• You communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Some international travel may be required.
