We are looking for a Director of Sales / Operations (Serviced Apartment and Serviced Residences) to join our team.
As a Director of Sales / Operations (Serviced Apartment and Serviced Residences), we require you to:
- Personally handle key accounts in each of the Apartments and Residences’ revenue contributing market segments.
- Develop and execute effective business development strategies that will ensure a continued and sustainable profitable growth for rooms as well as all revenue centers.
- Be responsible for a continuous assessment of pipeline accounts to evaluate their viability and potential.
- Attend major travel functions and promotional events to promote sales for the Apartments and Residences.
- Analyze market changes and implement proactive programs to meet changes, i.e. changes brought about by political, economic or competitive changes in the market place.
- Maintain a high level of exposure for the Apartments and Residences in major market areas through direct sales, telephone, fax, and written communication.
- Actively support and implement group wide sales initiatives, e.g. Online bookings, Advanced Purchase, Bonus Choice, Custom Stay, etc.
- Participate and contribute information in the forecasting process to come up with an accurate forecast.
- Implement sales policies and procedures of the Apartments and Residences and Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
- Recommend contracted room rate structures including but not limited to corporate rates, wholesale rates, long stay rates, group rates, etc. ensuring maximum revenue generation.
- Participate in the development of marketing strategies for specific accounts or segments.
- Prepare proposals, contracts and tenancy agreements, key in reservations, file for stamp duty, arrange for airport transfers and furniture set up.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Supervise all aspects of familiarization groups including inquiry, coordination, and execution thereof.
- Be responsible for post-familiarization group follow up such as sending thank you letters and for developing potential clients database for future business opportunities.
- Handle leads and inquiries from GSOs and follow up accordingly with the events management team.
- Keep abreast of current and future competitors’ products, pricing and sales programs and deploy resources to efficiently optimize RevPAR and achieve/maintain the leading market position.
- Develop, implement and keep current the various segments of the marketing communications plan relating to sales.
- Plan and prepare yearly Capex items for the Apartments and Residences.
