Position: Director of Information Technology
The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:
Strategic IT Leadership
- Align IT initiatives with the company’s strategic goals to support growth and operational efficiency.
- Actively participate in strategic planning to identify opportunities where IT can drive value.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IT team.
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure the team operates effectively and achieves organizational goals.
Project Management
- Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and alignment with strategic goals.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT initiatives, coordinating with cross-functional teams to define clear goals, scope, and deliverables.
- Provide technical expertise to drive successful project outcomes and ensure seamless integration of new systems and processes.
- Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and risks while addressing challenges to achieve desired results.
ERP, CRM, and Business Applications
- Manage and oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of key business applications, specifically ERP and CRM systems on the Microsoft platform.
- Ensure these systems are tailored to meet evolving business requirements effectively.
Budgeting & Financial Management
- Plan and oversee the IT budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively for both operational and capital needs.
- Draft and present budget proposals and financial reports to Senior Management, justifying investments and aligning IT spend with business priorities.
IT Governance and Automation
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure governance and efficiency.
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of automation tools to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
- Ensure scalability and security of automation solutions integrated with existing systems.
Security and Compliance
- Establish robust security protocols to safeguard IT systems and data against cyber threats.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices for data security and privacy.
Vendor and Asset Management
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and contract negotiations to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Evaluate and adopt technologies to enhance IT infrastructure reliability and performance.
- Oversee IT asset tracking and inventory management to maximize resource utilization.
System Optimization and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and analyze system performance to identify and address bottlenecks.
- Implement optimization strategies to improve system efficiency and reliability.
- Drive initiatives to enhance system capabilities and operational performance, delivering measurable business value
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
- Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans to ensure IT system resilience.
- Conduct regular recovery tests and establish safeguards to minimize downtime and data loss.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience leading IT teams and managing IT operations, including ERP, CRM, and business applications (Microsoft platform preferred).
- Proven expertise in ERP implementations and migrations. Experience with Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, and Zoho will be advantageous.
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure (on-premise and cloud) and transitioning to cloud-based environments.
- Strong knowledge of business processes in Manufacturing or Equipment Manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in IT infrastructure, applications, security, and governance best practices.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing IT strategies that drive business transformation.
