International SOS is looking for a Director of IT Operational Excellence and Delivery for the Business As Usual (BAU) Services within the IT Shared Service organization. In this crucial management role, you will be responsible for enhancing and executing operational excellence in the Modern Workplace and Mobility BAU service elements across our global organization, and potentially beyond this domain.
The ideal candidate will have experience in ensuring operational excellence, driving governance across a global organization, and managing various aspects of modern workplace infrastructure. This role requires a strong focus on vulnerability management, device lifecycle management, and optimizing IT systems and processes. You will work alongside the Service Owner for Modern Workplace and Mobility Services, who is responsible for the service's renewal and roadmap. Your role will involve leading day-to-day operations, ensuring operational excellence, and improving the foundations of the MW&M services.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business leaders, striving for excellence in service delivery. You will report directly to the General Manager, Group Cloud, Infrastructure, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Team up with the Service Owner for Modern Workplace and Mobility Service and establish a healthy and effective way of working on the entire portfolio for Modern Workplace and Mobility services. This job description is a guide and might need your flexibility for the day to day end tuning.
- Operational Excellence: Own and drive operational excellence across all modern workplace services. Collaborate with the IT Service Management to ensure ITIL processes are operational for all Modern Workplace and Mobility Services.
- Balancing Business Needs and Security/Compliance Considerations: the teams must strike a balance between meeting business requirements and ensuring security and compliance.
- Designing Consistent Processes and Systems by identifying and designing consistent tasks, forms, processes, and systems. Standardizing these elements to improve efficiency and reduce variability in their operations.
- Defining Roles and Responsibilities clearly across teams, partners, regional IT and other stakeholders.
- Service Level Management: Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) for Modern Workplace and Mobility Services. Proactively address incidents, escalations, and performance bottlenecks.
- Vulnerability Management: Oversee Tanium remediation efforts to ensure vulnerabilities are identified and addressed promptly.
- SCCM and Intune Delivery: Manage the delivery and optimization of SCCM and Intune services.
- Cyber Essentials Plus: Ensure compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus standards.
- Active Directory Remediation: Lead efforts to remediate and optimize Active Directory.
- Proof Point Optimization: Optimize Proof Point services for enhanced security and performance.
- Device Lifecycle Management: Standardize laptop setups and manage the entire device lifecycle.
- Nexthink Integration: Integrate and optimize Nexthink for better endpoint visibility and management.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM): Oversee MDM for phones and iPads, ensuring secure and efficient management.
- MacBooks Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for MacBooks, ensuring seamless integration into the workplace.
- Virtual Delivery Organization: Build and manage a virtual delivery organization across ITSS and business lines.
- Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain reporting and analytics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and support of services and manage the agreed SLA. Foster collaborative partnerships to optimize service delivery and innovation.
- CMDB Cleanup: Lead efforts to clean up and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOP): Review and update SOPs to ensure they are current and effective.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement.
- Risk Mitigation: Assess risks related to Modern Workplace and Mobility Services and implement mitigation strategies. Eliminate risk by proactive risk and problem management, to increase the operational stability of the landscape.
- Security and Compliance and Audits: Support where required the audits on the Modern Workplace and Mobility services.
- Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Cross domain work: With the expertise of Operational Excellence and focus on effective and efficient delivery of BAU services, advisory and steering on other IT domains in ITSS is encouraged and might be requested.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Microsoft technology or CISSP are advantageous.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in technology management and enterprise IT delivery, with a focus on Modern Workspace and Mobility Services.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
- Strong knowledge and experience in vulnerability management, SCCM, Intune, and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Experience with Active Directory, Proof Point, Nexthink, and MDM solutions.
- Understanding the impact of other IT domains on enterprise IT delivery, like Networking, Datacentres, and cloud as well as application and data management.
- Experience in building relationships with and communicate with vendors with managing the SLA.
- Experience in a global operating IT organisation, with stakeholders in several time zones and business lines.
- 10 to 15% of international travel might be required.
