Director - IT Infrastructure

Position Summary

Senior leadership role with a large financial institution.

Responsible for overall leadership of a large infrastructure team, your role will include developing and delivering end-to-end IT infrastructure services as well as managing strategic infrastructure change, architecture, and new infra programmes. You will be required to drive overall IT infra planning and ensure alignment with enterprise IT strategy and standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Overall management of a large infrastructure team for the region.
• Relationship Management: Build strong effective partnerships with internal and external teams. Strong executive presence able to influence and navigate complex and competing interests of multiple stakeholders.
• Strategy and Planning: Develop and manage strategic technology plans and roadmaps. Collaborate with IT and business leaders to build and develop the long and mid-term strategic plans to enable business objectives. Drive process improvements and IT service optimization.
• Oversee Portfolio Management: Management of infrastructure investments, projects, and activities within an IT portfolio. Manage objectives, priorities, delivery, and financials.
• Looking into opportunities to automate systems and processes throughout our entire organization. Develop innovative solutions to business problems, adoption of new processes, services, and technologies to meet the needs of the organization.
• Financial Management: Manage financial budgets: capital, expense, and in servicing. Manage regulatory commitments as appropriate. Effectively prioritize financial spend based on strategic company objectives.

Minimum Requirements

• Excellent infrastructure leader with strong leadership abilities, management skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Proven record of strategic planning, budgeting, resource management, change management, and effecting productivity gains and process improvements.
• Prior experience in managing a large infrastructure team of at least 50 members with regional presence.
• Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure, IT operations, and IT security experience in balancing compliance and security requirements with user experience and productivity.
• Strategic Planning & Execution: 10+ years demonstrable experience in developing and executing strategic technology roadmaps.
• Ability to define problems: Identifies problems, collects data, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of high-performance team development.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional ability to build rapport with key stakeholders and leaders, advocating for the execution of the strategic roadmap and ensuring alignment with direction.
• Communicate effectively with internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions/strategies and continue to deepen client relationships.
• Communicate with the IT department about changes and noteworthy events within the company and effectively communicate relevant IT-related information to C-level management.
• Proven track record of maturing and automating IT systems and processes.
• Singapore PR or Singaporean is highly preferred.
