Director, Investment (Real Estate)

Key Responsibilities

1. Evaluate real estate operating platforms and partnership opportunities and make recommendations
2. Lead team to execute such platform strategies/opportunities
3. Manage the relationships with such platforms for follow-on investment opportunities
4. Lead and guide the team in identifying and evaluating potential real estate investment opportunities, structuring and executing the acquisition of assets in Asia Pacific and other regions
5. Conduct financial modelling to assess/support acquisitions. Present financial analysis to key stakeholders
6. Review portfolio performance and formulate business plans for portfolio assets
7. Conduct and coordinate legal, tax, technical & financial due diligence for assets to be acquired, working with internal functional teams and external advisers/consultants
8. Preparation of investment papers, presentations, and other materials as required
9. Project manage investment and divestment processes including participation in both on and off-market transactions
10. Development of new strategies in new sector and/or geography - assessing the investment thesis, strategy, potential and scalability of the strategy and work with Fund Management team on potential capital raising plans and structures for the strategy
11. Investor engagement on funds/mandates - for co-investment opportunities
12. Work with internal functional teams and external advisors on deal documentation and contracts
13. Assist with Investor Relations, e.g. investor pitchbook preparation, queries on investment portfolio
14. Provide coaching and guidance to younger members within the team

Job Requirements

1. Possess a Degree in Business, Economics, Accountancy, Finance, Real Estate Finance or equivalent
2. At least 12-15 years of relevant working experience
3. Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
4. A self-motivated team player who is meticulous, detail-oriented, organized and able to learn quickly, independently with strong analytical skills
5. Proficient with financial modelling, market and industry research in real estate
6. A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to interact well with different functions and levels
7. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
