Responsibilities

- The Director, Digital Assets will be responsible for leading the approach to tokens and networks across Standard Chartered. This role will work directly with the relevant stakeholders and manage the overall approach to tokens and networks including strategic alignment, token and network assessment and engagement with key foundations and consortia. This role will also work closely with the relevant regional leads to support specific regional initiatives.
- Lead the DA strategy for the tokens and networks by working with the Global Head of DA and the Digital Asset leads across regions and business lines.
- Understand the Digital Asset priorities for tokens and networks and prioritise in alignment with the potential commercial return.
- Work across business lines and functions to coordinate executions and assist in the establishment of the appropriate design for the management of tokens and networks in collaboration with the DA business leads.
- Ownership of the implementation of the Coin Assessment framework and the operationalisation of the same.
- Work with the Global Research team on Token and Network thematic thought leadership.
- Simplify complicated ideas into actionable, measurable pieces and communicate those ideas to key stakeholders to generate buy-in.
- Drive support and collaboration for projects at all levels (senior and junior to you) and bring others on the DA journey.
- Contribute to the development of tools and processes for the group such as Coin Assessment and Higher Risk Framework.
- Collaborate with Technology and Operations functions to ensure appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructure are in place to support efficiency in the enablement of tokens and networks.
Our Ideal Candidate
- 8+ years demonstrated market knowledge of Digital Assets, Crypto and Web3. Fintech also considered favourably.
- Demonstrated experience with high growth companies in the execution of business plans and initiatives.
- Demonstrable experience working across large groups of complex stakeholders preferably including regulators.
- Excellent Presentation and PowerPoint skills.
- Familiar with modern productivity tools, ADO, Teams, Slack, Trello, Mural, Jira, Confluence.
- Education: University graduate preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant technology or crypto/blockchain certifications.
- Languages: Excellent spoken and written skills required.
