Director of Korea Tourism Marketing and Startup Support

Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is a government-affiliated organization that promotes Korea as a premier travel destination and supports the growth of Korea's tourism industry. Our Singapore office plays a vital role in enhancing tourism relations between Korea and Southeast Asia.

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead our Singapore office as a Director. This position is crucial in developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies to promote Korea as a top travel destination, fostering partnerships, and supporting the growth of Korea's tourism startups in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Korea Tourism Marketing:

  1. Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Korea's tourism in the Southeast Asian market.
  2. Oversee tourism campaigns, events, and initiatives to enhance Korea's brand presence.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including travel agencies, media partners, and industry associations.

- Support for Korean Tourism Startups:

  1. Collaborate with KTO Headquarters to provide tailored support for Korean startups aiming to expand in the Southeast Asia region.
  2. Offer consulting services to Korean companies on market entry and operational strategies.
  3. Identify promising startups and design strategies for their growth and international expansion.
  4. Facilitate connections between Korean startups and potential investors or partners in the region.

- Market Research and Analysis:

  1. Conduct market research on the tourism and investment sectors in Southeast Asia, focusing on startup ecosystems.
  2. Provide insights through reports on market trends and opportunities for Korean tourism-related businesses.
  3. Stay updated on activities of competing organizations and industry developments.

- Network and Partnership Building:

  1. Build and maintain a strong network of industry experts, including global corporations, venture capitalists, and investment firms.
  2. Establish strategic alliances with key players in the tourism and investment sectors.

- Team Leadership:

  1. Manage the Singapore office team, budget, and operations to ensure the effective delivery of organizational goals.
  2. Foster a collaborative work environment and support the professional development of team members.

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of experience in tourism marketing, business development, or a related field.

  1. Proven track record in managing large-scale marketing campaigns and supporting startup growth.
  2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Familiarity with the tourism industry and startup ecosystems in Southeast Asia and Korea.
  5. Proficiency in English and Korean required.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
