About the Company:
We are a leading provider of secure internet solutions, specializing in VPN services that empower users to access the web safely and freely. As we expand our presence in the Chinese market, we are looking for a skilled Digital Marketing Executive to drive our marketing efforts for VPN products. This role will involve developing strategies that resonate with local users while navigating regulatory challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Digital Marketing Strategy Development:

  • Design and implement digital marketing strategies specifically targeting the Chinese market, with a focus on promoting VPN products while adhering to local regulations.
  • Conduct market research to understand the needs of various target groups, such as overseas Chinese, expatriates, students, and travelers, and tailor marketing strategies accordingly.

2. Content Localization and Creation:

  • Develop and localize marketing content in Mandarin, ensuring it is culturally relevant and engaging for Chinese users.
  • Produce content that highlights the benefits of using a VPN, such as secure browsing, access to global websites, and online privacy.

3. Social Media and Community Engagement:

  • Manage social media accounts on Chinese platforms, including WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, and Zhihu, to promote brand awareness and engage with users.
  • Collaborate with influencers (KOLs) to drive product visibility and initiate discussions around internet security and digital privacy.

4. SEO and SEM Optimization:

  • Optimize content for Chinese search engines (e.g., Baidu, Sogou, 360 Search), focusing on driving traffic to the website and increasing conversions.
  • Run PPC campaigns in compliance with local guidelines and use data analytics to improve campaign performance.

5. Affiliate Marketing and Partnerships:

  • Develop and manage affiliate programs, partnerships, and referral networks to increase the VPN user base.
  • Seek partnerships with international organizations targeting Chinese users, such as travel agencies or education services.

6. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Monitor and stay updated on China's internet regulations, especially concerning VPN services, to ensure all marketing activities comply with local laws.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with marketing in a regulated environment.

7. Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, user acquisition, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies, content, and campaigns for maximum effectiveness.

8. Mobile Marketing and ASO (App Store Optimization):

  • Implement mobile-friendly marketing strategies and optimize the VPN app for distribution on app stores accessible in China.
  • Focus on improving app download rates and user retention.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: 2-5 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on the Chinese market. Experience with VPN or other tech products is a plus.
  2. Language Skills: Fluent in Mandarin and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills is highly preferred.
  3. Knowledge: Understanding of China's digital landscape, including social media platforms, search engines, and regulatory environment. Familiarity with VPN services is a strong advantage.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficient in SEO, SEM, PPC, social media marketing, and content localization. Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics, Baidu Analytics, or equivalent.
  5. Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to derive insights from performance metrics and optimize campaigns accordingly.
  6. Adaptability: Ability to navigate a rapidly changing regulatory environment and adjust marketing strategies as needed.
  7. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM software.
  • Previous experience managing influencer or affiliate marketing programs in China.
