The Digital Systems Manufacturing Engineer works within the Digital Manufacturing Team and with embedded IT contractors to maintain Manufacturing Execution Systems operations in the plant as well as deliver/implement key strategic digital technology capabilities to improve plant performance and stability. The role will also require a fundamental understanding of Systems Thinking and collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvements.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead KiD (Knowledge, Information and Data Management) initiatives.
• Deep understanding of various manufacturing processes and business operational workflows.
• Partner with functional teams to identify opportunities for new processes and implementation of digital system capabilities that will enhance the business key performance indicators.
• Develop digital capabilities roadmaps in line with business strategic objectives.
• Support both major transformational and continuous improvement projects with technical expertise and provide leadership regarding vendor engagement to scope projects, evaluate proposals, and review deliverables.
• Lead the implementation of projects related to digital systems and manage collaboration with partners and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of those capabilities.
• Provide ongoing technical support for digital systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and know how to escalate incidents effectively in a timely manner.
• Be a catalyst for greater collaboration among IT partners to deliver an integrated service support ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Possess a BEng (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline with working experience maintaining & supporting digital manufacturing systems in a manufacturing facility. Experience with automation/IIoT.
• Hands-on with strong knowledge in project and business change management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to understand stakeholder needs and work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to deliver quality work in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Familiarity with Design Thinking and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python or C#) will be a plus.
• Candidates without prior related experiences will be considered as well.
