Connecting patients and technology

Digital Health R&D (DH R&D) Clinical Operations offers the unique opportunity to connect a passion for patients, clinical development and technology by leading the execution of Digital Health Technologies (DHTs) in clinical studies to passively and objectively measure disease-relevant physiology in support LY drug development and Lilly’s digital health products. In this role, you will also be engaged with developing and validating digital biomarkers and ultimately, digital measures which can have significant Regulatory, patient and clinical trial impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

DH R&D Clinical Operations closely partners with the broader DH R&D team, cross-functional scientists and colleagues, and third-party providers to lead and coordinate DHT-related protocol development and implementation activities throughout the lifecycle of trials within LY drug development and non-LY exploratory DH R&D trials. This role will focus more on the non-LY exploratory trials via a key role in the Digital Health Innovation Hub being established in Singapore at the Lilly Centre for Clinical Pharmacology. A key requirement will be to leverage clinical trial process leadership and expertise, project management and scientific & technology acumen to drive actions and coordinate efforts to achieve trial deliverables. Keeping the patient and site experience top of mind and minimizing burden is at the core of all we do.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Be clinically-minded - We are looking for someone with a demonstrated understanding of the global drug development process.
  • Be collaborative – You will collaborate with DH R&D and cross-functional colleagues to develop and implement DHT protocol related activities (e.g., protocol, informed consent, patient and site training, data collection, DHT compliance).
  • Be Fast - We need someone who is willing to move at the pace of Lilly science and technology, especially DHT, development.
  • Be Bold - We are looking for someone to tackle tough challenges and multiple system integration when enabling Lilly researchers to DHTs in clinical trials.
  • Be Your Best - You will be constantly learning new technologies and how they are of value in different therapeutic areas, enabling science-driven patient engagement.
  • Be Proactive - Proactively identify and collaborate with colleagues to address operational gaps and ensure effective execution of digital biomarker studies.
  • Be Aware – You will seek guidance from Privacy, Legal, Ethics and Compliance, Regulatory and Cybersecurity colleagues to incorporate patient privacy, data security and data access into the design and execution of DH R&D research.

What You Should Bring (preferred skills)

  • Applied knowledge of clinical trials and project management methodology, processes and tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence without authority while working cross-functionally and cross-culturally with global colleagues and TPOs.
  • Proven track record of managing complex situations through problem-solving, critical thinking and navigating ambiguity.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Effective communication, self-management, and organizational skills.

Your Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors or University degree (scientific or health-related field preferred).

And

  • Minimum of 5 years clinical trial experience with a strong working knowledge of the clinical research process.
