Dietitian

An exciting career opportunity has arisen at AMK-THK Hospital for full-time Dietitian to join our integrated care team. We are looking for outgoing and flexible individuals with proven experience of working in the area of adult rehabilitation.

The hospital provides full suite of rehabilitation to patients with Stroke, Fracture, Post-surgical deconditioning etc. The rehab unit has a well-established multi-disciplinary team approach and the ideal candidate needs to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Description:

• Provide nutrition assessment, nutrition support, counselling and education to patients and caregivers individually or in groups
• Provide therapeutic diets for special dietary requirements
• Review inpatient nutrition progress and document patient management in case notes in a timely manner
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patients
• Act as resource person offering advice on issues related to nutrition and dietetics
• Develop literature for nutrition counseling and education
• Maintain accurate up-to-date documentation/ SOPs/ patient information
• Maintain comprehensive patient treatment record and provide accurate statistics
• Represent the department for internal and external meetings requiring dietetics input
• Monitor compliance of therapeutic diet guidelines by the kitchen
• Work closely with kitchen to address any therapeutic diet related issues
• Conduct internal and external talks, lectures and workshops
• Participate in nutrition related research and community outreach programmes
• Lead/ participate in quality improvement projects

Requirements:

• Minimum a recognised degree in dietetics
• At least 1 year of post qualification experience in Singapore
• Good clinical knowledge, reasoning, critical thinking, judgement and decision making in providing patient care
• A team player and with good communication and interpersonal skills
