Responsibilities
New Equipment Setup: Lead new equipment setup according to tool specifications and requirements, optimizing tool settings to maximize efficiency and output while maintaining quality standards, and ensuring the smooth integration of new tools into existing processes.
Process Development: Develop and optimize polishing and cleaning processes to achieve target substrate properties and performance criteria. Implement process control strategies to ensure consistency and maintain high quality.
Material Characterization: Conduct in-depth material analysis using various characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, TEM, XPS, AFM) to evaluate substrate/film properties, uniformity, and defect elements. Interpret data to inform and guide the development process.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance—to ensure the seamless integration of new materials and processes into production. Provide technical expertise and support throughout the product life cycle.
Innovation: Stay updated on the latest advancements in material science and semiconductor technology. Identify and explore new opportunities for innovation and improvements in mask blank technology.
Skills and Competencies Profile
Bachelors’/Master’s in Material Science, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation and presentation.
Experience in demonstrating statistical skills in data analysis. Good knowledge in JMP, PowerBI, DOE, and SPC are preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
Able to work in cleanroom environment.
