Desktop Support Engineer – Trading & Tech Operations

Join a fast-paced trading technology firm as a Desktop Support Engineer, providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring seamless IT operations across trading and technology teams.

Role:

• Provide operational support for trading and tech teams, ensuring smooth hardware and software functionality.
• Troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve application issues in line with incident management protocols.
• Build and deploy automation tools to enhance monitoring and IT efficiency.
• Manage user access, permissions, and system configurations within Active Directory.
• Maintain IT documentation, hardware inventory, and software licenses.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting users in troubleshooting application issues, network connectivity, and system access.
• Setting up and configuring desktops, laptops, printers, and related hardware.
• Installing, updating, and patching applications as required.
• Assisting with procurement and vendor management for IT equipment and services.
• Maintaining a structured knowledge base of common issues and solutions.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Active Directory, networking administration (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP), and remote desktop tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in IT hardware and software.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience with JIRA/Confluence for issue tracking is a plus.
• Certifications in Microsoft Active Directory or ITIL Foundation are a bonus.
