Desktop Support Engineer Team Lead (East)

Work location: East

Working hours:
Monday to Friday (1x Saturday per month. OT Paid)
8am to 5.30pm
8.30am to 6pm
10.30am to 7pm

Contract term: 1 year renewable + Completion Bonus!

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead a small team or lead small team project with basic level 1 server and network diagnostic.
2. Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
3. Lead desktop projects and system upgrades.
4. Design and implement desktop management solutions.
5. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

1. Diploma or Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience.
3. Extensive experience in desktop engineering, system administration, or related IT roles.
4. Proficient in desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS).
5. Familiar with enterprise management tools (SCCM, Intune, Jamf, etc.).
6. Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
7. Familiar with desktop deployment methodologies (MDT, WDS, etc.).
8. Familiar with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation and task scripting.

Others: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or similar preferred.

Note: Required to be on rotating 24/7 standby within the team (Standby allowance given).
