Job description

Work location: East

Working hours:
Monday to Friday (1x Mandatory Saturday per month. OT Paid)
8am to 5.30pm
8.30am to 6pm
10.30am to 7pm

Contract term: 1 year renewable

Key Responsibilities

  1. Respond to and resolve help desk requests from end-users regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral device problems.
  3. Provide technical assistance for operating systems, applications, and other software tools.
  4. Install, configure, and upgrade desktop hardware components such as hard drives, memory, and graphics cards.
  5. Install and configure operating systems, software applications, and updates.
  6. Set up and configure network printers and other peripherals.
  7. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, patches, and antivirus scans.
  8. Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and security.
  9. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels as per company policies.
  10. Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, software licenses, and configurations.
  11. Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for knowledge sharing.
  12. Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions for management review.
  13. Collaborate with senior engineers and IT teams on projects and initiatives to improve IT infrastructure and services.
  14. Provide training and guidance to end-users on basic IT operations, software usage, and best practices.

Requirements
  1. Nitec / Diploma Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  2. 1-2 years working experience.
  3. Knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and productivity software (Microsoft Office suite, etc.).
  4. Familiarity with hardware components (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals) and troubleshooting techniques.
  5. Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and protocols.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with end-users and team members.
  8. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or similar are a plus.

Note: Required to be on rotating one week 24/7 standby one week per month (Standby allowance will be paid).
