Desktop Support Engineer

Reporting to Deputy Head, Group Technology, we are seeking a pro-active self-starter who will be predominantly responsible for the infrastructure support and maintenance for internal users of Providend Holding Private Limited and its subsidiaries.

To be successful in this position, you will be someone who is/has:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Experienced in Microsoft 365 suites (including but not limited to Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange, SharePoint etc.)
• Working experience of Microsoft Intune and Defender is a must (policy setting and deployment)
• Hands-on experience in office infrastructure setup and support (e.g. router, firewall, NAS, VPN, AD server, virtual machines)
• Core understanding of TCP/IP and networking technologies
• Remote support via remote desktop solutions e.g. AnyDesk, TeamViewer etc.
• Experienced in technology operations (e.g. hardware/software asset inventory, data inventory, user accounts management)
• Strong awareness and know-how in Cybersecurity standards and practices
• Mobile device support experience (Android & iOS)
• Knowledge in Excel Macro / VBA
• Can-do attitude, good posture, problem solving mindset
• Initiative, drive and exceptional attention to details
• Tenacious and possesses a strong work ethic
• An independent worker, able to work without much guidance
• A strong team player
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills

Desirable Skills:

• WordPress administration
• Exposure to SQL Server
• Knowledge in security and data protection
• Knowledge in any programming languages
• Experience working in financial institutions
• Familiar with MAS Technology Risk Management (TRM) regulatory
• Windows 10 & 11 Operating systems (setup, configuration, patching)
• Experienced in managing Windows Server 2019 and above (configuration, patching)
