Manage the design consultants and the design process to ensure design excellence and quality.
Advise stakeholders on interior design factors, such as space planning, layout and FF&E
Coordinate with all internal stakeholders and draw out requirements to prepare Client Briefs
Assist Director of Interior Design and/or Senior Design Manager to select and appoint ID Consultants
Manage deliverables from the ID Consultants with respect to brief and company guidelines
Review and provide constructive direction on design submissions
Review and provide constructive direction on technical submissions relating to Interior Design
Review and comment on sample and material boards
Obtain approvals of design items from stakeholders
Provide technical input into contractor appointments
Manage the review of all contractor material and sample submissions and ID shop drawings
Monitor quality of off and on-site fabrication from an ID perspective
Liaise with the project team with respect to cost and time constraints and solutions
Liaise with our internal stakeholders to develop scope-of-work for the CAPEX projects.
Advise client on interior design aspects, such as space planning, layout and utilization, FF&E and integration of FF&E.
Assist in monitoring and reporting of the progress of interior design work on projects
Work closely with the appointed consultants during all stages of projects to ensure practical, effective and durable designs at indicated budgets interfacing with internal and external Operations Management to ensure timely incorporation of operational requirements within the project design.
Monitor the design schedule and progress of work of consultants and other relevant parties
Monitor and assess the performance of Interior Design consultants
Conduct site and factory visits to ensure implementation and compliance with approved design intent and direction
Liaise with our internal clients to develop scope sheets
Advise client on interior design factors, such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, and color coordination.
Provide ID options or solutions
Assist PM’s in setting schedules for the project
Researching and drawing up rough plans
Developing detailed designs and choosing materials
Supervising the work as it is carried out.
Job Requirements Education & Certification
Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Architectural Studies or related discipline
Experience
Experience and knowledge of: All aspects of Hotel Interior Design, including space planning, FFE, materials; Typical building regulations as relates to interior construction; Interior Design processes, including current consultants’ practices, typical scope and abilities; Design Team Structures, including combinations of Concept and Executive Designers
Other Prerequisites
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge in casino design and operation is preferred.
Sound knowledge in design trends and building design materials
An eye for design, including color, and good 3D awareness
Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines
Proficient in Photoshop, In Design, AutoCAD and Sketch-up
Good organization and communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
