Job description
  • Compile comprehensive reports outlining Design for Safety (DfS) processes, including key safety performance metrics, compliance status, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to management for continuous improvement in safety protocols.

  • Deliver structured safety performance reports to management, highlighting trends, potential risks, and corrective actions.

  • Organize and lead regular meetings with DfS professionals to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and discuss innovative safety solutions.

  • Perform on-site and document-based safety audits to assess compliance with DfS guidelines and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify safety gaps and non-compliance issues, recommending appropriate corrective measures to mitigate risks.

  • Continuously evaluate and refine risk assessment methodologies to improve hazard identification and prevention.

  • Stay updated on local and international safety laws, codes, and DfS guidelines to ensure organizational compliance.

  • Conduct compliance checks and provide guidance on legal and regulatory requirements affecting project safety.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs to ensure teams understand and adhere to DfS principles.

  • Benchmark against leading safety standards to adopt the most effective safety solutions for the company.

  • Ensure all DfS documentation is updated and readily available for reference and reporting.

  • Participate in Incident Investigations & Root Cause Analysis.

  • Take on ad-hoc responsibilities as directed by management, including special projects, safety campaigns, and emergency response planning.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in managing and executing safety management or Design for Safety (DfS) initiatives for large-scale infrastructure projects, either as a developer or main contractor.

  • Qualified ISO 45001 auditor with degree in any field and a strong technical background in Health & Safety or Engineering.

  • Familiarity with DfS regulations and other construction-related safety regulations. Relevant certifications such as the Design for Safety Professional (DfSP) certificate is preferred.

  • Experience in compliance, risk management, tender evaluation, or DfS Professional roles.

  • Proficiency in analysing safety data and compliance reports to identify risks and areas for improvements.
