Design Engineer (Mechanical/Manufacturing) / $5500 / East #ECT

Scope:

1. Develop & Design IC sockets and components
2. Create & Modify drawings based on NBO/NTO using CAD (Solidworks, NX-Ideas)
3. Measure IC sockets, parts and customer's packages
4. Verify customer's package drawing to existing socket drawing
5. Modify and assemble parts for IC socket prototypes
6. Provide technical support for Sales Dept as needed
7. Provide technical support to customer through phone, email and on-site work
8. Liaise with vendors & productions on manufacturing issues
9. Provide quality check for assembly and piece parts as needed
10. Design required jig for quality check of assembly and piece parts
11. Communicate on regular basis with other departments, management, customers, and assigned factory
12. Perform FEA (Mechanical & Thermal), Signal Integrity simulation & Tolerance analysis with Solidworks, Ansys etc.
13. May be required to attend offsite meetings, company group meetings, seminars, trade shows, conventions etc.
14. Prepare and present reports to internal Dept and customers.
15. And other Ad-hoc duties as directed by the management.

Requirements:

1. Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Math skill: Ability to productively work with numbers and accurately perform arithmetical, algebraic or geometric calculations
3. Technical: Ability to understand, use and apply specific technical information related to the Company's products and services
4. Analysis: Ability to perform critical or minute examination of fact or data to develop a hypothesis, theory or conclusion
5. Accuracy: Ability to produce accurate data and reports with few mistakes, low error rate
