Job description

Job Description:

  1. Develop strategic investment opportunities for new business related to the realization of a decarbonized and recycling-oriented society in Southeast Asia and surrounding areas by utilizing day-to-day networking and information collection with Japanese and foreign government agencies as well as private companies (financial institutions, trading companies, electric power & gas companies, shipping companies, consulting firms, etc.).
  2. Execute and manage a new investment project with internal coordination and collaboration with relevant head office departments in Japan (business divisions, finance/accounting, legal affairs, etc.).
  3. Support appropriate business operations of the company as the ENEOS Group's main overseas group company and initiatives to improve the efficiency of business operations.
  4. Assist the Managing Director's mission from the perspective of business development, and coordinate with other Deputy Managing Directors and department heads to ensure that the Managing Director's intentions are disseminated throughout the company.
  5. Contribute to the identification and development of future management personnel and high-level professionals by paying attention to the human resources in the company.
  6. Liaise with Headquarters (ENEOS Corporation in Japan).
  7. Carry out other duties assigned by the Managing Director as and when necessary.

Job Requirements:

  1. Master in Business Administration degree or equivalent is required.
  2. At least 25 years of relevant experience in oil trading / oil and gas industries.
  3. At least 5 years work experience in business development, business strategic planning, and government relations.
  4. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  5. Ability to communicate in fluent English with colleagues and clients.
  6. Ability to speak and write in fluent Japanese to communicate and negotiate with Japanese-speaking associates and clients and report to headquarter management and employees in Japan who cannot speak and write in English well.
  7. Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a strategic mind.
  8. Meticulous with good communication and presentation skills.
  9. An effective team player who is innovative and forward-thinking.
