Have a good understanding of subsea cable projects deliverables and timelines.
Support to develop and map out the permits and licenses required on each phase of the project/countries of operation with reference to Supplier Plan of Work.
Ensure and track the application and approval of necessary permits and licenses before the commencement of marine and terrestrial activities.
Manage all permits and licenses, closely monitoring applications and identifying any risks or issues that may impact on the progress of the project and operations in the relevant countries. Key countries include those in SEA, South Asia, Japan, and USA.
Work closely with project stakeholders and support to provide regular updates on the management of permits and licenses.
Support manager in liaising with government agencies (e.g., IMDA, SLA, MPA) in relation to permit and licensing matters.
Ensure compliance with relevant permitting and licensing laws and regulations.
Monitor, follow up, and document any requirements from authorities during the planning, implementation, and operational phases.
Travel overseas for work/assignment as and when necessary or requested by your immediate supervisor/the head of department.
Such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor or head of department from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Degree in telecommunications or other relevant fields.
Working experience in Submarine cable systems is an advantage.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in coordinating with permitting regulators for Marine and Land Submarine route utilization.
Experience or have some knowledge of the permitting processes to manage permit acquisition in regional and international water of telecommunication submarine cable sea corridors.
Have good knowledge of Asia’s Telecommunications, Submarine Cable System, and Data Centre industry.
Understanding of commercial & financial processes (invoicing, approvals, etc.).
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Leadership quality and good communication skills.
Strong administration skills and problem-solving mindset.
Be thorough and pay attention to details in permitting documents and cable crossing agreements.
Able to work well with others and have good customer service skills.
Able to use your initiative, flexible, and open to changes.
Strong time management & work well under pressure.
Be passionate about his/her role and willing to learn and grow.
Able to travel within the Asia Region and globally on short notice.
