Our client, a prominent construction company, is seeking a Deputy General Manager with extensive experience in Electrical Engineering within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring construction projects, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and operational growth.

This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the Construction Team for Design & Build / A&A Projects, ensuring high-performance standards.
2. Provide cause-driven leadership, focusing on quality and delivering metric-driven outcomes to support the company's strategic and business plans.
3. Reach out externally to plan for business development and ensure operational growth.
4. Build a strong network in the construction and engineering industry.
5. Biweekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for project updates to the leader of the Singapore Branch and Japan Head Office.
6. Effectiveness in achieving the desired targets in the specified time and doing the task correctly, timely and at the minimum possible cost.
7. Ensure on-time delivery of projects.
8. Provide leadership and managerial guidance to all M&E Engineers.
9. Provide mentorship and support to the QS team in tender bidding and proposals for M&E Engineering projects.
10. Oversee daily operations and manage the yearly capital budget, ensuring business operations run efficiently.
11. Communicate regularly with counterparts in Japan for project alignment and updates.

Requirements & Preferences

(Must)
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 20-25 years of in-depth technical knowledge and experience in Electrical Engineering within the construction industry.
- Proven track record in managing M&E projects, particularly within a Japanese construction company.

(Advantageous)
- Experience in overseeing and being fully responsible for the overall execution and management of projects.
