Our client, a leading life insurance company, is seeking an experienced finance professional to join their dynamic team. This is a key leadership role, supporting the Head of Finance in driving financial performance and shaping strategic initiatives.

About the job

• Support the Head of Finance in managing overall finance activities, including reporting and operations, as well as investment accounting.
• Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reports in compliance with industry standards, including IFRS 17.
• Lead investment accounting functions, including the reporting of Investment-Linked Policies (ILP), ensuring accuracy in risk charges and asset templates.
• Manage financial controls, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including RBC2.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on audit, tax, and risk management matters.
• Support team leadership and development, ensuring high performance across the finance department.

Skills and experience required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) are highly desirable.
• Extensive experience in a senior finance role within the insurance industry, ideally life insurance.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, including RBC2 and IFRS 17.
• Proven track record in managing financial reporting and investment performance in a regulated environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
