Deputy Director, Financial Accounting

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain financial governance frameworks and internal controls.
2. Draft and implement financial policies and procedures.
3. Ensure compliance with all tax obligations, particularly GST.
4. Oversee treasury functions and optimize cash management.
5. Manage financial accounting and reporting.
6. Lead financial system implementations and process improvements.
7. Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders.
8. Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team.

Requirements

1. Reputable Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy with minimum 20 years of relevant experience.
2. Demonstrated deep understanding of corporate governance frameworks and internal control systems.
3. Proven ability to lead and manage complex financial projects, such as system implementations and framework reviews.
4. Experience in driving process improvements.
5. Experience in drafting, reviewing, and implementing financial policies and procedures.
6. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
