Demand Planner

Objective of Role: Manage & continuously improve the base forecast (statistics) considering current market circumstances globally. Additionally, to continuously challenge the Demand Forecast Analysts, in creating a Consensus Demand Plan on global level and perform handshake with global supply and S&OP teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Aid in the facilitation of the global demand planning process of assigned product families within defined timelines.
• Oversee the coordination of the demand classification process (selection of best-fit algorithms) and handle parameter tuning across regions, consult and shares knowledge / best-practices.
• Clean historical data set and validate statistical forecast based on exceptions.
• Validate master and transactional data from the beginning of Demand Planning cycle and trigger corrective measures.
• Consolidate Sales & Service Cluster demand plans into a Consensus Demand Plan, Document assumptions and adjustments.
• Validate & challenge Sales & Service Cluster demand plans based on performance measures / major changes / order entry; Clarify and document particularities with the Sales & Service Cluster Demand Forecast Analyst.
• Prepare, host and follow-up on monthly global demand review meeting(s): Including product review meetings with Strategic Product Management Team (Product Launches, Phase-Outs, Item segmentation) and coordinates demand plans for product launches and phase-outs with demand forecast analysts.
• Monitor Demand Planning Performance by defined KPIs and implement mitigation measures & actions.
• Release Consensus Demand Planning: Represent Consensus Demand Planning in Global S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) review meetings and executes handshake with S&OP lead and global supply planners.
• Support the preparation of decision proposals and investigate alternative solutions, if required.
• Prepare, document, and ensure: Standard Operating Procedures, Demand Planning Strategies as well as Detected issues, for decisions by S&OP team.
• Act as a key individual, for first level support within the demand region.

Requirements:

• At least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering or any other related field.
• Strong experience working in a Mix of High-Low-volume Planning and Production.
• Relevant knowledge in utilizing SAP system.
• Working knowledge In Advance Planning Tool(s), such as BlueYonder (preferred), I2, Kinaxis.
• Well versed in understanding various Sales & Operations Planning Processes and Interfaces (Example: Data Gathering, etc.).
• Strong Understanding of Statistical Models and of their Parameters /KPIs.
• Possess a strong proficiency in data quality and showcase an affinity to figures.
• Strong analytical, organization, decision making qualities.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, showcase confidence in communicating to high level stakeholders.
• Strong aptitude in cross-functional coordination.
• Adapt to change with resiliency and lead change.
