Database Administrator (Oracle DBA) 1102

Role: Oracle DBA

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and optimise Oracle database environments.
• Implement and manage Oracle RAC environments.
• Perform database installations, upgrades, and patches.
• Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies.
• Monitor database performance and tune for optimal efficiency.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Automate common database maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient database design.
• Implement and maintain database security measures.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
• Proven experience implementing and managing Oracle RAC.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl) for automation.

Preferred Skills:

• Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with database compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA).
• Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
