As a Vice President within the Data Solution Operations team, you will oversee end-to-end data management, analytics, and reporting for institutional investors. You will lead efforts to ensure data quality, manage business as usual exceptions, and implement strategic solutions. This role offers you the chance to collaborate with technology and product teams, support data mining and analytics, and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Job responsibilities:
- Perform daily file monitoring to ensure each dataset and product is delivered to end user and/or client.
- Manage Business As Usual (BAU) exceptions, identifying root cause teams and working closely with appropriate teams to resolve exceptions.
- Work directly with Technology, Product Owners and Source Teams to identify and implement strategic solutions.
- Support data mining and analytics to help define process flow and best practices.
- Create the ongoing governance and controls for BAU processes.
- Create and produce meaningful metrics reporting to share with senior audiences.
- Document process flows.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures.
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to derive meaningful insights.
- Identify trends, patterns, and correlations to support data-driven decision-making.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across various teams to drive exception resolution.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information System, Technology, or relevant disciplines.
- At least 8 years of experience in Fund Accounting, Asset Management, Collateral, Custody, Sustainable Investing, Reference Data, Middle Office, or Finance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex business problems, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in using applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook for documentation, data analysis, presentations, and communication.
- Data Analysis Tools: Proficiency in tools like Excel, Visio, SQL, Alteryx, querying databases & Confluence.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Knowledge of Tableau.
- Knowledge of Python/Jupyter Notebook.
- Knowledge/use of Collibra (previously OWL DQ).
- Experience working in data management at an Asset Manager firm.
- Fluency in Japanese will be an advantage to communicate and deal with clients in/from Japan.
