Customer Service Executive (Freight Forwarding, Sea freight)

The Opportunity:

Adecco is partnering with the top player in the freight forwarding industry to hire a Shipping Executive (Sea Freight Export). The incumbent in this position is responsible for delivering comprehensive customer service and managing all aspects of export and import operations.

• Working hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5:30pm)
• Salary: up to $4000 (VB + Flexi benefit)

The Job:

• The point of contact for clients within the vertical.
• Analyze customer inquiries and gather necessary information from various departments to prepare proposals or quotations for customers.
• Acquire shipment details and paperwork from clients to arrange shipments, including booking space, arranging pickups, and handling special requests like oversized, hazardous, or urgent cargo, coordinating with vendors as needed.
• Prepare shipment and customs clearance documentation and distribute it to all relevant parties for cases that require project-specific standards.
• Compile shipment and customs clearance documents adhering to project-specific standards, ensuring timely release to all concerned parties.
• Create and analyze periodic consolidated reports and statistics, where applicable, to review jobs and identify areas for improvement.
• Investigate and resolve various complaints, general inquiries, and invoicing issues from external and internal customers.

The Talent:

• At least 2 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Sea & Air Freight Forwarding industry is preferred.
• Strong planning, analytical, customer-oriented, and excellent interpersonal skills.
