Job description

Jal Yoga International is a well-established Yoga studio that has 6 studios around Singapore offering Yoga, Pilates, and Barre classes, and has expanded to Malaysia, Indonesia, Dubai, and the Philippines. We are seeking a personable and detail-oriented Front Desk Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Customer Care Team, you will be the first point of contact for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greet clients with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
  2. Answer phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries regarding class schedules, pricing, membership packages, and general studio information.
  3. Assist members with class sign-ups, check-ins, and cancellations using the Mindbody system.
  4. Ensure all classes are running smoothly by monitoring attendance and resolving any booking conflicts.
  5. Assist Teachers with their Personal Training bookings and assigning rooms to avoid any clashes.

Administratives & Membership Retention:

  1. Send Personalized Welcome Messages after ensuring the Profile Completeness is done.
  2. Introduce yourself, share important policies: booking, waitlist, suspension, transfer, late cancellation, and no-show, etc.
  3. Engage and build rapport to gather early feedback and provide support.
  4. Offer Jal Care kit for medical suspension.
  5. Track and prepare Birthday Cards.
  6. Maintain existing trackers using Google Sheets.
  7. Keep track of supplies and notify the manager when inventory levels are low.

Requirements:

  • O Levels or Poly Diploma in any field.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role (experience in a wellness or fitness environment is a plus).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for helping others and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
  • Able to handle toilet hygiene and studio cleaning as part of the studio maintenance.

Must be able to commit to either of these hours:

Shift 1:

  • Mon - Fri 8am - 1pm
  • Weekends/PH 8am - 5.30pm

Shift 2:

  • Mon - Fri 4.30pm - 9.30pm
  • Weekends/PH from 8am to 5.30pm

Training will be provided. Only apply if you are able to commit to the hours. Able to start immediately will be an advantage. Must be able to commit to a minimum of 3-4 days including weekends.
